DEMONSTRATIONS CONTEST

Eligibility: Grades K-12 Cloverbud members, grades K-2, may participate but may not compete.

Team or Individual: Individually or as a team of two.

Registration Deadline: One week prior to event. If date falls on the weekend, the deadline will be the Friday before.

Description: Using posters, displays, and other visual aids, youth prepare and deliver a presentation in either a demonstration format or an illustrated talk. In a demonstration format, the participant shows or demonstrates the steps to make a final product. In an illustrated talk, the member provides information about a topic without actually demonstrating how to make

Demonstration categories include:

· Horse (allows demonstration format only)

· Family and Consumer Sciences/Healthy Lifestyles

· All Other Project Areas

Awards: Each youth receives a certificate and earns a blue, red or white ribbons based on the Danish judging system:

· Blue (excellent): 90-100

· Red (good ): 75-89

· White (fair): 74 and below

The Senior Division blue ribbon winners may compete in State 4-H Contests in July. Partial scholarships given upon funding availability
