In Utah, many 4-H clubs are family clubs, meaning a parent organizes a club just for the children in their own family, sometimes involving a few neighbors. Although we are currently working to organize community 4-H clubs, where children and parent volunteers in a neighborhood are involved in the same clubs, we currently do not have many community clubs available.
For a child wanting to join a 4-H club, this means that, right now, they typically can’t just “join” an existing club. For families interested in participating in a 4-H club, we suggest getting several families to join together and organize a club – sharing the fun and the responsibilities.
