
4-H Committees
Volunteers are instrumental to the 4-H program. Through committees, volunteers conduct fund raising efforts, inform the public about 4-H opportunities, recruit and train new leaders, plan and implement educational programs for youth and volunteer leaders, and much more! Below are some of the ongoing committees that support 4-H.
Key Project Committees
Committee members assist in planning and conducting 4-H workshops, contests and events, promote projects within their curriculum area, and secure contest sponsors. Provide leadership to one of the following 4-H curriculum areas:
· Personal Development & Leadership
· Citizenship & Civic Education
· Communications & Expressive Arts
· Environmental Educational and Earth Science
· Plant Science
· Science & Technology
· Animals
· Healthy Lifestyles
· Consumer & Family Science
4-H Alumni Association
Provides leadership in promoting active 4-H alumni involvement. Committee members assist in planning 4-H alumni events, identifying and registering 4-H alumni and keeping alumni informed and involved in 4-H through newsletters and special alumni events.
4-H Fundraising Committee
Provides leadership in raising funds to support Salt Lake County 4-H. Committee members assist in fund raising campaigns and conducting fund raisers.
4-H Marketing Committee
Provides leadership to marketing efforts for Salt Lake County 4-H. Committee members assist in preparing marketing materials, recruitment efforts and promotional campaigns.
Time Commitment: Committees set their own flexible schedule and meet as needed via phone, email or face-to-face meetings.
